Win the Race

As the pastor prayed at the conclusion of the Sunday morning service on October 21st, 2007, I received a vision of a Daytona 500 type car race. As the beautiful, colorful cars came around the track, I saw the official giving the checkered flag as each car crossed the finish line. The following are a few impressions that will perhaps encourage you.

1 – All the cars in the race were different colors but all were brilliant and beautiful. All of God’s children are unique, beautiful, and special to Him

2 – Unlike an earthly car race, each car that crossed the finish line received the checkered flag. In God’s race, each believer who finishes is a winner. So don’t give up!

3 – We are almost to the finish line. The checkered flag is being waved. Jesus is coming soon. For others, their test is almost complete and they now have a test-imony.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge cloud of witnesses to the life of faith, let us trip off every weight that slows us down . . . let us run with endurance the race God has set before us” (Hebrews 12:1 NLT).
